About the Kojima Tourism Guide Association

President’s Message

倉敷市児島観光ガイド協会

Happy New Year. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all supporting members for your continued support and cooperation in our association’s activities. We greatly appreciate your ongoing assistance, and we look forward to your continued support this year as well.

As we welcome the New Year of 2026, it has been one year since our association relocated its office to a site near Jeans Street in January of last year. Over the past year, we have actively promoted new initiatives. These include launching our website, utilizing social media, providing guided tours with student volunteers, responding to inbound tourism needs, and supporting events held by the Kojima Branch Office, community centers, libraries, and other organizations. Although these efforts have progressed gradually, we have steadily enhanced and expanded our activities.

In this newsletter, we will report primarily on our activities during last autumn. We hope you will take the time to read it.

In addition, the Guide Association is currently recruiting new members, and we would appreciate the cooperation of as many people as possible. This year as well, we will continue our ongoing reforms and make every effort to ensure that visitors to Kojima and members of our local community alike can enjoy and appreciate our activities.
